Lawn Basins

Lawn Basins are typically used to collect water in fields, swals, yards and empty lots to direct water into the storm sewer system. Lawn basins are similiar to manholes, however, are installed "upside down" (also know as spigot down) in comparison to a standard manhole which allows the open end to retain a round cast iron or bar grating grate. We only recommend you use them in non-paved areas as they can withstand the load of maintenance vehicles or lawn mowers but are not built to take the load of high volume traffice or large vehicles. They can be a straight riser which allows you to stack them to your specific height or can come complete with a base, typically they have a "knock-out" to allow for easy sizing and installation of your on site piping.
